We just received some pictures of Amrit wearing some of the bathing suits that we have made her. Some of you may be going on vacation to warm destinations during the holidays, and cant find a bathing suit that fits. We can create a bathing suit to fit any body shape that will be flattering and comfortable for the price of a bathing suit at a retailer. Just a little somthing to keep in mind for future bathing suit dilemas.

EEk Fall is here! Did anyone see the summer...cause apparently I blinked and missed it. Time for fall clothes, sweaters, scarves and mittens. I suppose autumn has its perks. Comfy cozy clothes. However I will miss summer. (Sigh) We at DICIB are preparing for autumn with some great new items to add to our store, pictures of them are to come soon. As for now I thought I'd stick a picture of our front window on here. Its hard to see from the outside in daytime due to our mirrored windows but I will get a night time picture to put on here soon. So this picture is from the inside, squeezed against the glass. Haha, the fall outfit was made for Calgary Cares 2004 and was worn by Calgary performer Nina Tron.

Calgary Eaton Centre/TD square/Scotia Centre (The Core) has built a tradition of unique fashion events to bring awarness and funds to important community organizations. Bra...Vo! in 2003 and 2004 featuring high fashion designer bras supporting breast cancer research and were an overwhelming success. H'attire, was the second of there fashion events featuring designer hats to support ARBI, The Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain injured. Inspiring Souls, there most recent event, featured designer shoes and partnered with The Walk In Closet, a local organization helping women make successful transitions into the workplace. They are introducing another unique fashion event called "Brief Encounters" supporting prostate cancer, scheduled for the month of October. It will be showcasing designer boxers created by local designers and artists. These boxers will be unveiled on October 6th and will then be on display throughout the month of October in Calgary Eaton Centre. All designer boxers will be auctioned off at Bill Brook's Prostate Cancer Fundraiser held in the Hyatt in January 2006. The Boxers that we have created for this event we have named "Mesh'n Impossible" with a small description that reads. "Nothing oozes sensual mystery like black. Straps add an element of playful naughtiness, while the mesh adds subtle yet vital excitement. These boxers are definitely distinctively styled by DICIB’s Shae Barry with a sexy yet functional body interactive edge that’s all his own, And who says men shouldn’t be sexy!" Hopefully you will get a chance to view them in Eaton Centre along with all the other fantastic designs but If you arent able to I will include some pictures with this post.

This is a picture of a wedding dress that we made for a client recently. She wanted a Gwen Stefani type dress. So we made the dress and brought it to a dye house and had them dye the bottom of the dress pink. IT turned out beautifully.

Fall is almost upon us now bring an end to lazy summer days. People all over the city are gearing up to go back to work or school. The city is a buzz of activity right now. Everyone trying to cram as much as possible into the last fleeting days of summer before having to face the reality of autumn.
Autumn does have some wonderful aspects however. Crisp fall days with a gentle wind that allows the leaves to swirl about in a dance. The smells of apples being baked with cinnamon and nutmeg. And of course for myself looking at the new fall fashion trends.
DICIB? is working hard on a fall line up for both men and women. Some of the outfits that we wish to offer for this fall can be seen at the Eaton Center's Fashion Show on Sept 8. Shae is taking one or two past favorites and adding a new twist to them, giving a fresh new look that is perfect for the changing season. A men's western style sleeveless shirt with an oriental theme in either grey or burgundy will be one of the items showcased at the event.
Another will be one of the hit outfits from Calgary Cares 2005, a multi styled dress (this dress can be viewed on the web-page http://dicib.com/dark/womens/dresses/index.htm). Being made now with a slightly heavier grey fabric for the cooler months as well as an inner band being added to the inside of the dress to allow for a bit flash and glitter to the gown.
We are excited about the fall season and hope to see everyone over the next few months.
